Your Role :

We are now recruiting for a Task Controller to work in Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre (HMC) to support the Maintenance Engineer (FLM) in the effective and efficient delivery of planned, scheduled and reactive work.

  • You will work to deliver reactive maintenance support across all engineering disciplines to meet production demands, through fault finding and diagnosis of failure;
  • this can involve both the initial definition as well as the more usual implementation of plant modifications.

    Our Task Controllers deliver planned routine preventative maintenance (RPM) activities to improve plant availability through structured monitoring, asset care, equipment maintenance and identify plant equipment reliability issues, analyse SAP and production data in order to understand improvement options, implement solutions and carry out reviews usually within core trade.

    As you will be working in a top tier COMAH site you will undertake activities in compliance with site, company and regulatory requirements, e.

    g. SI’s, HSE policy and standards, COMAH (Health and Safety Executive), PPC (SEPA)


    What experience are we looking for?

  • Understanding of HSE standards
  • Detailed up to date knowledge of appropriate technical discipline
  • Fault finding and diagnosis techniques
  • Managing safety, target zero incidents
  • Delivering planned, scheduled, and reactive activities
  • Integration into the Manufacturing Team
  • Have a good working knowledge of HS&E procedures (NEBOSH desirable)
  • Sound technical knowledge based on a recognised engineering training scheme and attained NVQ level III or equivalent.

  • Communication skills
  • Working knowledge of safety and quality personnel procedures
  • To maintain and improve plant and equipment
  • To carry out fault finding and diagnosis of failed equipment, identify practicable solutions, to effect repair following the site procedures and HSE standards.
  • To identify and initiate information system data updates, SAP, Plant records, drawings etc.
  • To procure materials and equipment stock and non-stock
  • To share learning, deliver training and validation in core trade.
  • To deliver and utilise multi disciplines to deliver the whole task where possible.
