Position Summary

We are currently seeking an ambitious, articulate, hands-on and highly-skilled director with a track record of exceptional, transformative marketing and business growth practices.

In this role, you will have tremendous opportunities to build an innovative marketing program for W2O EMEA and lead new business activities to drive the growth of our organization in the region and globally.

Candidates for this role will be creative, charismatic, driven and knowledgeable about marketing communications, especially related to the healthcare and / or technology sectors.

Candidates will be agile, collaborative team players with a proven ability to successfully lead marketing and business growth strategies in an agency environment.

As W2O continues to achieve significant growth year-over-year through innovation and acquisition, we expect our senior staff to also be comfortable with ambiguity and the uncertainty which comes with rapid change and growth.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing responsibilities

  • Lead and execute day-to-day marketing responsibilities for W2O Group in EMEA and its suite of companies
  • Establish yearly marketing plan and define quarterly priorities with leadership team input
  • Coordinate EMEA activities with US marketing and new business leads
  • Coordinate and promote thought leadership activities, e.g. by creating executive visibility for senior leaders
  • Organize and coordinate external-facing thought-leadership and marketing events
  • Lead select paid media activities (online advertising / sponsorships)
  • Work with account leads, digital, creative and finance to submit for key awards
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities for members of the EMEA leadership team
  • Coordinate with HR to help with ongoing talent-focused marketing efforts
  • Partner with leadership and brand team to lead evolving brand strategy / platform
  • New business responsibilities

  • Research and develop deep understanding of prospective client needs, business challenges, culture, etc.
  • Work closely with leadership team to drive growth across W2O EMEA with a particular emphasis on growing integrated, digital marketing, and AOR type engagements
  • Manage pitch processes (templates and project management) and resources
  • Implement knowledge management approach
  • Manage a sustained CRM and contact strategy for new prospects and existing / lapsed clients
  • Attend award, industry, and networking events to develop new prospects
  • Support development of materials for procurement roadshows
  • Person specification

  • Four-year university degree in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field
  • 7-10 years of related experience
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in working in a similar role in an agency environment before
  • Prefer background across diverse industries such as tech, consumer, healthcare, corporate
  • A grounding in client management and development would be advantageous
  • Ability to work in a matrix organizational structure is necessary
  • A can-do, proactive and problem-solving attitude, a team player who’s agile, responsive, and has strong lateral and conceptual thinking capabilities
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have critical eye for detail and ability to contribute creative ideas
  • Organization and ability to keep multiple internal stakeholders on task is critical
  • Adept at working on your own with limited supervision
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in fast-faced environment and to adapt as and when needed
  • Paid digital media experience essential
  • Previous experience leading marketing teams
  • Accountable for key financial metrics and budget
  • Responsible for staffing and management / coaching
