Position Overview

We have an opportunity for an Account Handler to join ourteam based in Plymouth, for which we require the successful candidate topartner with colleagues to ensure the profitable handling and growth of clientaccounts in line with the overall client relationship management strategy, andprovide effective support in the servicing and administration of a Small Business Unit (SBU)portfolio of business, where premiums typically range between £1000 - £5000 for the client.

The role will encompass all Account Handler duties, whichincludes, but will not be limited to; account administration, policynegotiation and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • To act as the primary point of contact for the client andestablish effective relationships with them
  • To renew clients in line with agreed targets
  • To achieve new business levels in line with agreedtargets
  • To identify and develop new business opportunities
  • To provide accurate reports incorporating activity andresults
  • To update and maintain records on core systems
  • To work closely with relevant support teams to provideexcellent service to clients
  • Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a similar capacityand taking ownership of similar responsibilities for a Broker and / or Insurer.
  • Good academic background supported by good grades atA-Level and / or GCSE, in subjects that include Maths and English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills incompleting assigned tasks.
  • Excellent customer / client etiquette.
  • Cert CII desirable, but not essential.
  • Competent in the use of Acturis preferential, but not essential.
