Description of the Business Line or Department
The Engineering pricing team for Corporates provides tailor made derivatives solutions for CEEMEA Large Corporates taking into account our clients financial, accounting and legal constraints.

Design, market and handle Interest Rate and Inflation Derivatives products and solutions
Provide fast and accurate pricing of the whole range of interest products
Act with rigour, high critical thinking and team spirit
Summary of responsibilities
The VIE will focus on :
Trade idea generation / Product innovation
market intelligence : geographic activity monitoring of product popularity
spontaneously identify, analyze and pursue Rates / Inflation related business opportunities (eg. creation of a specific tool, new product or structure )
use of economic research reports : collect and incorporate economic rationale into product offering
organize and circulate deal information among sales and teammates, to foster pooling of interest and ideas
Pricing / Structuring
Propose, design and price Rates and Inflation structures to embed into global hedging solutions or investment products for clients
Compute technical margin, CVA, FVA
perform price simulations (either historical, prospective) : back-testing or forward-testing of hedging strategies
Work with quants and traders on development of pricing tools and automation of recurring pricing requests
Contribute to building client pitches, product campaigns
Generation of attractive and comprehensive marketing documents and termsheets, with product description, benefits / risks simulations, market or economic rationale, accounting treatment
integration of IAS aspects in cooperation with internal specialists
Participating in external client meetings and advising, executing and pitching together with the sales and the senior members of the team client trades
coordination between sales and traders
margin strategy' (negotiation, minimum expected margin), ensure optimal use of risk limits
define optimized booking with operational teams for the structured solutions
ensure documentation is accurate and exhaustive (internal documentation, term-sheet, internal tickets, legal documentation, set-
up of booking and alerts, set-up of provisioning scheme, margin allocation method)
Assist the rest of the team in the daily tasks, and provide technical support to sales teams
Graduate with a Master degree from Business / Engineering school or University, majoring Finance.
A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English.
Knowledge of Applied Stochastic Mathematics
Knowledge of interest rate product range
Knowledge of main valuation models, main risk factors, and main orders of magnitude in risks
Good understanding of CVA, FVA concepts
Knowledge of Bloomberg, Excel and VBA
Quickness and responsiveness / Ability to work under pressure
Good aptitude for working in team
Creativity : either in trade idea generation or product design
High level of rigour and critical thinking The VIE assignment in a nutshell This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment.
It will last 12 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
