A Day in the Life
As part of the the Interventional Lung Solutions (ILS) business in the UK & Ireland the successful individual will work closely with team of Account & Therapy Development Managers across Europe, including the Medical Affairs and Market Development teams in order to open up the market and enable the sale and promotion of Medtronic Interventional Lung Solutions products across a range of hospital and specialist clinical settings.
The jobholder is primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts and regions to hospitals and related healthcare professionals (interventional pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons) as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
In addition the role will involve cooperating with and coordinating activities with the European ILS team members, the in-
country Surgical Innovations (SI) team and in-country Disease State Management Specialists Lung Health in order to maximize business opportunities.
Develop and own the business strategy for your markets
Achieve agreed budgets, focused on sales growth. KPI / Targets
Present, in-service and sell interventional lung products and services to potential clients.
Support and advise the physician on the correct use of Medtronic devices.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
Optimize tender management in region
Proactively develop and lead initiatives that will maintain and drive business growth.
Analyse markets reports and identify and target growth areas and increase revenue.
Lead with economic capital and consumable selling activities in the territory.
Coordinate with Key account management and early technology business team and other Medtronic team members when needed.
Leverage overall Interventional Lung Solutions portfolio, focus on opening new accounts.
Initiate broader purchasing agreement and account conversion when required
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made.
Focus on multidisciplinary lung health teams in the hospitals in order to drive acceptance of the technology.
Take a wide organisational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products
Maintain customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision makers, competitive participation, market share etc.
Support & Training
Support cases as part of the early stage learning curve.
Provide in case training to physicians during the learning curve of the technology.
Demonstrate effective use of all sales tools and materials provided, to identify and develop real prospects to ensure sales targets are achieved.
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
Educate and train HCPs and nurses on the ENB platform technology.
Provide verbal technical support and organise regular in-services.
Assist in National / International training requirements.
Must Haves Minimum 5 years experience in bronchoscopy, interventional lung health products, VATS, electrophysiology, imaging or radiation devices.
Capital sales experience In depth knowledge of the local country health systems and experience selling in them.Demonstrated strong relationships within the larger key hospitals in the relevant regionTrack record of building a business from the ground upDemonstrated ability to work with non-
