THE GIG

This is an interim administrative position within the existing Product Development team based in Cobbs Lane. We are looking for someone to work as part of the team who is self motivated and can work at pace.

The successful candidate will become part of a busy team working hard to hit seasonal deadlines whilst maintaining the high standard of quality that the business has come to expect from this team.

We are looking for someone to get stuck in and help to keep things moving flexible in what they do and how they get the job done.

Someone who can help us in all that we do and maybe offer some help to improve how we do it we are always on the look out for ways to improve our process and save valuable time.

You must be able to travel to and work from our Cobbs Lane location when necessary.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

As our Product Development Administrator you will be responsible for :

  • Build and maintain reporting files that hold the build details of all samples, including costing files.
  • Create sealing tags and monitor sample sign off documents through the development process to final sign off / hand over chasing for late or missing samples.
  • Create packing material required for shipping samples between factories and offices worldwide.
  • Help to build and create material or colour update specs.
  • Assist checking sample build against spec for accuracy during development process arranging samples in our meeting room.
  • Populate line list with factory allocation information and create informative summary documents for developers and factories.
  • Book meeting rooms and manage meeting invites.
  • Prepare travel packs for development trips including specs, cads, tech packs, costings, swatches and report books.
  • Arrange seasonal leather trial + wear trials create specs and liaise with the factory and wearers against calendar dates for completion format feedback for meetings.
  • It goes without saying that everyone at Dr. Martens is a team. Everyone is expected to take on other duties as needed to support the business.

    We're looking for someone who has :

  • Good comprehension and understanding of specifications.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, especially with document collation and data capture work.
  • Competent in excel and word Understanding of Illustrator (nice to have but not essential).
  • Experience working with product and sample management
