This is an exciting opportunity

for academics with previous teaching, research and / or professional experience in psychology to join a team of enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly staff within the School of Psychology at the University of Worcester.

Psychology at the University of Worcester has a long-standing history, with a thriving BPS accredited suite of BSc Psychology courses running since 1994.

The School has an already impressive portfolio of undergraduate courses including Single Honours Psychology as well as named awards in Business, Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, and Sport and Exercise Psychology.

Our postgraduate courses include Business and Occupational Psychology, Counselling, EMDR Therapy and Understanding Domestic and Sexual Violence.

We currently partner with the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) to deliver our MSc Business Psychology course.

You will have a background in any area of Psychology, and we particularly welcome applications from individuals with specialism in clinical or counselling psychology.

Importantly, successful applicants will be confident and competent in teaching across a range of core British Psychological Society areas (cognitive, biopsychology, social, developmental, individual differences or research methods).

Furthermore for appointment as Lecture. Your teaching approach will be flexible, student-centred and research or practice-inspired.

As the role will also require you to develop and maintain productive relationships with our students you will need a high level of inter-personal skill, and personal effectiveness to promote a high-quality experience for all.

You will have a strong commitment to continuing professional development, scholarly engagement and to interprofessional and international perspectives.

The successful applicant will act as a personal academic tutor (PAT), research project supervisor to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In addition, there may be an expectation to undertake course leadership roles as opportunities arise.
