Support the Merchandising / Planning team to establish the optimum commercial assortment for the EMEA Omni channel region, whilst maximizing the financial plan and respecting the category / brand objectives and direction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist team leads with input into the strategic direction for the brand / category.
Help to develop seasonal product assortments in line with planning targets of sales, SKU’s, productivity and product trends.
Formulate and present clear and impactful brand / category strategies and initiatives at line openings / brand days / teardowns to senior management and regional teams.
Participate in the pre-season financial plan and help to translate this into a commercial line to support the strategy of the brand / category.
Effectively partner with the European merchandising team in merchandise selection, design, development and allocation.
Provide insights in order to create product assortments which integrate brands and balance price points.
Support In-Season assortment management, allocations, stock transfers, markdowns, returns, etc
Forecast sales, margin, and inventory at a Department / Class level by week. Reforecast financial projections based on changes in business strategies, the overall retail environment, and the receipt flow.
Plan and project Basic and Key Item styles. Ensure that the flow of receipts supports the current and future business.
Partner with the Distribution / Allocation team to ensure that flow of receipts for Basic and Key Items supports the needs at a size level.
Continuously collaborate with other departments to leverage processes, maximize sales, profit, inventory ownership and elevate overall brand representation.
Analyze brand / category performance and suggest recommendations to minimize exposure and maximize the business.
Ensure accurate and timely line execution and calendar management / reporting / work for each season.
Ensure the financial success of the product group by meeting or exceeding sales, gross profit, and inventory turn goals on an annual basis.
Recap and communicate size selling performance in order to maximize sell through.
Communicate initial release and replenishment strategies within cross functional team.
Track and monitor DC available inventory for the product group, maximizing sales to stock ratios and turn for all managed channels
Execute the release of initial product distributions and in season replenishment to stores in line with the stores planned size ratio.
Work with cross functional team on basic styles reorder and in season replenishment to support desired in stock targets.
Work with cross functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of new store openings.
Collate, analyze and share industry / category trends. Translate activities into strategic / tactical recommendations for the brand / category.
Perform administrative and system related tasks and updates
Execute any ad hoc duties as required by team leads
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Fluency in English
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Some knowledge and understanding of various textiles / fabrications
Excellent cross-cultural communication and presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Additional European languages is a plus
Multi-category and multi-channel experience.
Able to work on own initiative and to be pro-active
Strong in analysis and accuracy of data
Good product sensibility
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong communicational skills, both verbal and written
Excellent computer skills and advance knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
