About the position

Mimecast is a 100% channel focused company and transacts all revenue via IT channel partners. In this position, the Channel Sales Support Executive will be supporting the UKI go to market team by assisting with general tasks and projects, contributing to good customer and partner relationships, and enabling Partner Sales Execs to spend more time generating revenue for the business.

This role is suited to a meticulously organised individual that prides themselves in providing a good experience to partners, customers and colleagues.

This role is an ideal stepping stone for someone that wants to progress into a channel sales role or partner management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Channel Team with admin, such as :
  • Creating quotes
  • Processing sales orders
  • Pulling reports
  • Creating new Partner Accounts
  • Profiling and engaging prospective partners
  • Provide demonstrations and assistance to partners using the Mimecast Partner Portal
  • Work with different stakeholders to make sure partners have suitable access to sales resources, marketing and marketing funds, pre-
  • sales, technical enablement

  • Support partners with lead generation activities such as cleansing data, booking call out days and providing assistance with live Mimecast opportunities
  • Run reporting to ensure all partners are adhering to their partner program requirements
  • Help to organize Partner Education Days
  • Help managing inbound calls that come through to the Partner telephone line
  • Portal and Partner Training Access / Maintenance
  • Working alongside key stakeholders within the business to drive the sub-100 automation project across the Channel & Sales Teams
  • Essential Skills and Experience

    The ideal candidate for the Mimecast Sales Support Team will demonstrate the following attributes : -

  • Has worked in an administration or customer / partner experience function
  • Excellent administration skills Outlook / Excel / CRM
  • Calm demeanor that can work under pressure
  • Driven to succeed and always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
  • Confident communicator in telephone and face to face engagements
  • Attention to detail with a passion for delivering an exceptional level of service
  • Commercially minded
  • Mature outlook, comfortably working with contacts at all levels including senior management and technical consultants
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding targets / KPIs
  • Desirable Skills

  • Have worked for an IT reseller or Vendor in a similar function
