TotallyMoney is a FinTech scale-up based near Old Street’s Silicon Roundabout, positioned between Shoreditch’s cutting-edge start-ups and the City’s forward-looking financial institutions - but at the moment around 95% of staff currently operate from kitchens, bedrooms, garages, and home offices due to the unprecedented times we’re in.

Our office is, however, open for any staff who would prefer to use it and feel they can get there safely.

We’re on a mission to make credit fairer and improve the credit score of 5 million people in the UK by 2023. We’re growing fast and are looking for a talented Front-End Engineer to join us and help make it happen.

TotallyMoney puts customers in control of their data and empowers them to make better financial decisions. Using consumer and market data, we can better match customers to the financial products that work for them.

We’ve built an industry-leading suite of tools to explain to customers why they got their credit score, what it means, and how to improve it.

That’s why we’re the highest rated free credit report provider on Trustpilot.

At TotallyMoney, we believe in sharing the credit and in a positive, bottom-up culture. We encourage fresh ideas, continuous testing and innovation.

We trust our employees to work autonomously and take responsibility, loosely following Agile principles in a supportive, collaborative environment.

That’s how we maintain a staff engagement level that puts us in the top 10% of the sector.

What’s the job?

As an Engineer at TotallyMoney, you’ll join us on a permanent basis to help build, maintain, and take ownership of our Financial Essentials products, specifically on our front-end stack.

You will have proven commercial experience developing for the web with React, and ideally for mobile with React Native.

We operate in small, cross-functional teams, usually comprising engineers, designers, UX people and a product manager. We loosely follow Agile processes, with boards, stand-ups and stories etc.

We develop online tools to help customers find the best credit products available to them, and you’ll be contributing to that from your first day in the office.

In addition to your technical experience you’ll be methodical and analytical in your approach to work. You will want to go fast and will not fear responsibility or failure, have a strong desire to learn, develop every day, and to continue to try out new things.

Perhaps the most satisfying thing for you is using your technical skills to make the business stronger.

We are dedicated to experimenting, innovating and keeping up to date with technical tech trends in order to provide our customers with the best experience possible, and we use a variety of tools and technologies to help us achieve that.
