What is the role of a Project Engineer?
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager (TSM), you will be working within a small team upgrading our fleet of ATM machines keeping them compliant and ready to service our customers.
What will I be doing as a Project Engineer?
Receive your allocated list of upgrades, manage and plan your own days and routes according to geography and the required completion targets set by the TSM.
Use all resources made available to you with the aim of completing the assigned upgrades on the first visit and within the allocated time frame.
Collaborate with other team members in order to transfer knowledge and skills.
Conduct cleaning of ATM’s on each visit and check that branding and signage is correct.
Manage own parts usage, returns and boot stock levels.
To support our extensive fleet of ATM’s some overnight stays may be required.
On a 1 in 4 weekend rota you will be supporting Field Service Engineers.
What Will I Need to Succeed as a Project Engineer
Valid UK driving licence.
Six month probation including a ten year security screening.
Sound technical understanding of ATM functions.
Experience of PC’s is desirable.
Knowledge of NCR and Wincor is desirable.
A willingness to learn new skills.
A positive can-do attitude with regard to getting over a problem, be willing to work as a team and help other team members in times of heavy workload.
Good interpersonal skills with customer care team.
Good interpersonal skills with customers in general.
Understand engineer security levels and adhere to them.
Comply with company security policies and procedures.
Respond to performance appraisals and concerns.
You will at all times consider the company image with regards to your personal appearance, when liaising with our customers and the appearance of any ATM’s that you come across during the course of your duties.
What are the Personal Attributes needed for the Project Engineer role?
45 contractual hours per week based on door to door shifts : Mon- Fri 8.00am-6.00pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Requirement to work 1 weekend per 4 week period. Shift pattern : Sat 9-5, Sun 9-4.
Leave entitlement : 22 days (exclusive of public hols) pro rata up to 5yrs service.
