We are currently recruiting for a Cabling Technician to join our Customer Operations team in our sites in Slough. The position of Cabling Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.

Responsibilities :

Installs ladder racks and fiber raceways

Builds / Installs cages

  • Installs cable management / support systems to include vertical wire managers, horizontal wire managers, and patch panels
  • Performs intra-cage and infrastructure installations
  • Installs and grounds cabinets and two-post racks
  • Raises service requests that require additional information
  • Conducts carrier circuit testing
  • Installs / Tests / Modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of : coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connects
  • Maintains accurate notes and records of activity fulfillment in ticketing system
  • Supports fulfillment of projects with direction from senior staff
  • Processes assigned Service Requests in a timely and accurate manner to meet all internal SLAs
  • Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise orders
  • What we look for :

    Experience of Cat6a, OM3 / OM4 / Fibre Cabling techniques (Installation, Termination & Testing)

    Previous experience in an IPS or telco environment is preferred

  • Experience working in a customer facing environment
