Overview :

Responsible for supporting the Senior Financial Crime Advisory Manager in the coordination and delivery (and leading on specific aspects as directed) of :

  • Defining (and supporting the subsequent implementation and maintenance of) the Banks core Financial Crime strategy and control framework.
  • Providing BAU SME input to the business and all 3 Lines of Defence as required.
  • Providing dedicated SME technical support for key Financial Crime related projects.
  • Leading (for the bank) on key aspects of Financial Crime related : Risk Assessment; Training needs analysis and planning
  • Engagement with key internal and external stakeholders in relation to FC best practice, industry initiatives and emerging risks.
  • What You’ll Be Responsible For :

  • Owning, optimising and subsequently maintaining / evolving the Banks AML, Sanctions and External Fraud related strategies and control frameworks for all products and delivery channels to reflect emerging risks, changes in the law, learnings from enforcement cases, industry good practice and opportunities.
  • Delivering the annual Financial Crime risk assessment, and updating it following material changes to the Banks Business / operating model, customer base or products.
  • Delivering the annual Financial Crime Training needs analysis and subsequent training plan, and supporting the development and roll out of that training as appropriate.
  • Providing technical SME input to all Financial Crime related projects and initiatives.
  • Technical (SME) support for material Financial crime related, issues and incidents
  • Liaison with 2LOD Financial Crime Team on interpretation / application of the firms FC Policy and minimum standards
  • Industry liaison on Financial Crime best practice / special interest forums.
  • What You’ll Bring :

  • SME Level understanding of current law, regulation and industry good practice in relation to : AML, Sanctions and External Fraud.
  • Proven experience in a FC / Fraud advisory, oversight / assurance or Nominated Officer Function role.
  • Experience of providing SME input to FC related projects.
  • Possession of (or willingness to study for) an ICA Diploma in AML or FC - or another equivalent qualification
