We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist here at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH), which is part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT).

This is a rotational post with a diverse range of clinical areas to work in, including :

Front Door (Emergency Department & Acute Assessment Unit)


Coronary Care, Oncology and Gynae

Long Term Conditions and Elderly Care

We are committed to investing in our staff and supporting individual career development and progression. You will have the opportunity to contribute to service development at both local and national level.

As a Band 6 at HHFT you can expect to receive robust peer support from fellow Band 6s and regular supervision by the Band 7 Clinical Lead.

You will have opportunities to lead on service improvement projects, to supervise Band 5 and Therapy Assistant colleagues and to provide clinical support and guidance to Therapy students from our partner Universities.

The successful candidates are expected to drive the Department manual car to complete community visits as per the work requirement unless you have medical reasons not being able to do so or you have access to your own car for business use.

Basingstoke is located near the historical city of Winchester and is only a short commute to London by train. The hospital offers accommodation and is walking distance to Basingstoke town centre and train station.

We would welcome both full time and part time applicants and are committed to developing a flexible workforce to meet the needs of our patients.

Informal visits are encouraged.
