What will you be doing?
Being a trusted consultant to team members in the Global Surveillance and Technology teams on optimization of strategic Transaction Monitoring systems
Planning and delivery of robust data-driven analytics and recommendations, meeting agreed deadlines and ensuring accurate, efficient implementation of changes
Identifying opportunities for the application of machine learning and partner with the Quantitative Analytics team to delivery models where suitable
Keeping abreast of industry developments, conducting R&D to incorporate best in class methodologies and disseminating learnings within the team and to key stakeholders
Ensuring all deliveries conform to Barclays internal policies and regulatory requirements and produce robust, clear documentation
What we’re looking for :
Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative discipline (such as Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or Physics)
Experience in Data Science related roles, within a Financial Services institution is favorable
Hands-on experience in the use of common Data Science tools and languages (SQL, Python, Spark)
Direct experience in Financial Crime / Anti-Money Laundering function of a large Financial Services institution
Skills that will help you in the role :
Direct experience in Transaction Monitoring optimization methods in support of Financial Crime / Anti-Money Laundering
Exposure to common Transaction monitoring systems (Actimize SAM, Oracle Mantas)
Experience working with large datasets in a distributed data environment
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau) beneficial
