Technology Management - IT Management ensures all budgeting, reporting,compliance and risk governance requirements are met, enabling IT to manage itsresources effectively to meet business demands.

This includes financialoversight of costs and unit rates.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the TechnologyStrategic Partnerships team as a Senior Manager (Programme Manager), based atour Head Office, 8 Canada Square.

This is a brand new role aligned you ourongoing growth.


In the role you will be directing and managing the engagement withTechnology companies to form long standing partnerships and strategic alliancesby offering a variety of skills to the benefit our customers and our teams andthus, driving capability uplift.

You will be responsible for developing strategies to enable newsuppliers and partners to introduce new capabilities and technologies to ourGlobal Businesses and Global Functions.

  • You’ll get to work closely with the Group CIO / Technology ExCoCommunity to shape, drive and deliver complex strategic partnership engagementsand constructs;
  • maximizing the benefit in terms of capability and measurablecost optimization to the organisation via contract management, commercial negotiation,business case analysis and knowledge on the technology market.

    In addition, you’ll also get to work closely with other HOST functions(e.g. Procurement, Legal) in ensuring effective commercial management androbust governance in evaluating, reviewing, negotiating & on-

    boarding ofthese new partnerships / alliances; establishing the right commercialrelationships with new organisations, including outsourcing, JV constructs,co-

    innovation and co-investment opportunities.

    Key to success will be building and maintaining a strong network withinthe markets to understand the local market and obtain optimal engagements forHSBC.

    This includes establishing and maintaining executive level relationshipswith our technology suppliers and strategic alliance partners to ensure strong,long-

    lasting relationships moving forward.

    You’ll get the opportunity to lead on the delivery of remediationactions pertaining to but not limited by suppliers non-

    compliance to risks / controls; Internal / external audit findings, with a focus on driving adifferentiated technology capability skills for our customers and our teams.


    Essential Skills / Competencies

    Significant experience in the successful delivery of major Technology programmes

    Expert level commercial and 3rd party engagement experience

  • C-level stakeholder management
  • Experience in large Banks and technology functions

  • Proven and effective stakeholder management
  • Delivery focus and ability to work to tight timelines

  • Programme and project management
