The Enghouse Interactive Legal team provide legal, HR and compliance guidance and support to internal and external customers across all geographies of the Enghouse business.
Reporting to the VP, Legal Services, you will be part of a small, global team of highly experienced and commercially minded legal and compliance professionals who touch on all aspects of the business, allowing the right candidate to have exposure to wide ranging legal, HR and compliance matters across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
We are searching for a well rounded commercial legal counsel with responsibilities across several disciplines, including :
Negotiate and resolve global contractual and business-related issues and coordinate with VP, Legal Services on legal issues regularly.
Implement corporate guidelines and procedures as they relate to commercial agreements and ensure that internal approvals for agreements are obtained in a timely manner.
Assist internal departments with ensuring compliance of new product initiatives, and negotiation of vendor agreements and purchase orders.
Manage template review activities to ensure standard documents are up to date with current legislation across all jurisdictions of the Enghouse business.
Act as global Compliance Officer for the organisation, overseeing and managing all areas of legal and business compliance issues, notably GDPR, data security and business continuity
Management of day-to-day oversight of the company’s ISO accreditations and management of various external ISO resources (third party contractors)
Manage activities related to preparing the company for new assessments and accreditations.
Liaise with internal teams to follow-up on actions and close out findings.
Act as a point of contact for external consultants and auditing bodies.
Drafting and updating of company policies.
Develop and deliver global training programmes on compliance matters.
General Legal Support :
Assisting with various administrative and due diligence activities for various M&A work across Europe / globally.
Provide ad hoc support HR teams globally on HR law related issues.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, regulatory and legal research and other duties, as needed.
Help to manage outside legal counsel on legal matters in EU and other surrounding jurisdictions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required
Minimum 7 years commercial legal experience at a firm or in-house.
UK Qualified lawyer
Data Privacy / Data Security compliance policy implementation experience.
ISO 9001, 27001 compliance / audit implementation experience.
Substantive prior experience in commercial contract review and negotiation (particularly in cross-cultural, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional contracts) is essential.
Experience with software licensing and professional services engagements a plus.
Knowledge of EU Comparative law and UK law; knowledge of other legal jurisdictions would be advantageous
Excellent judgment, communication and customer skills, and ability to work as a team player as well as an individual contributor.
High degree of professionalism and discretion.
Proactive with a can-do attitude and ability to work well under pressure and proactively manage work load.
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Fluency in a European language would be advantageous but not essential.
Ability to communicate effectively to others, especially when providing guidance.
Commercially minded with a flexible, solutions orientated approach and methodology is essential
