We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Quality Manager to join the Group Data Operations team (which has recently been formed from the amalgamation of the Data Privacy & Data Governance departments).
You will work to improve the quality of data (one of the company's biggest assets) and will be instrumental in ensuring that Aviva data is of the highest quality.
Using your phenomenal interpersonal skills, you will be working closely with colleagues across key Business Units on a global scale to develop, embed and promote good data quality processes and practices.
What will you be doing in this job?
Supporting the Data Governance Lead (your line manager) in developing consistent data quality strategies for the organisation
Coordinating and leading meetings on data quality and / or related topics
Designing and implementing data quality metrics and reports that can be incorporated into existing Data Operations dashboards and communicated across the business
Collaborating with colleagues of varying levels of expertise to track, address and mitigate data quality issues as well as offering practical advice and support if needed
Liaising with project leads to promote the adoption of data quality methodology and requirements early in the project lifecycle, thereby helping to ensure good quality data is a clear objective
Identifying and supporting the deployment of automated data quality tools and solutions. This includes data catalogues, master data management, reference data management and quality measurement
Developing document data quality guidelines and rules, including a prioritisation framework for data issue management
What skills and experience would you need?

Prior experience in data quality assessment and data quality control design
A deep understanding of both data management and data governance policies and principles
The ability to lead a dynamic program with more than one project running at a time, without compromising on accuracy
Experience in investigating (e.g. root-cause analysis) and diagnosing data gaps in various system patterns
Capable of rectifying the challenges in merging data from disparate systems
A high level of proficiency with common analysis tools (e.g. MS Excel with VBA, Access, statistical analysis tools). SQL would be useful but is not essential
Relevant experience in an operational role that involved an assessment of the usefulness / quality of collected data
Confident in being able to set and implement standard methodology and to support Aviva’s Growth agenda via innovation
You have a broad knowledge of specific business support processes and systems and can translate knowledge and experience into recommendations to the business

Salary of £45,000 - £60,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
