About the role :

  • This is a strategic and challenging role designing & deploying optimised Manufacturing Planning business processes and technologically driven solutions in SAP systems.
  • The role involves working with various business units, locally and globally, ensuring compliance with globally defined processes.
  • The role also involves working alongside the wider Global Process Owners, Super Users, Site Management, Site Users, other BPO’s, SAP Business Analysts & Solution Architects, etc, to enable successful continuous improvements and deployments
  • Support to country / factory project teams with functional expertise in planning processes, by leading or supporting in fit gap, development, testing, organisational readiness, change management, go live and hypercare -
  • enabling a clear and error proof deployment

  • Driving continuous improvement in functional area both operationally in process as well as with the Global Template.
  • The role has responsibility across all RB business units
  • The scope includes end to end planning processes in scope of manufacturing, and covers, but is not limited to the following functional areas :
  • Detailed knowledge of end to end supply planning and supply / demand processes
  • Good understanding and experience of planning methodologies and tools
  • Hands on experience in supply network planning, production planning, component planning, line scheduling, vendor scheduling, capacity management, distribution planning
  • Experience of working with SAP Production Planning / SAP APO an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of planning links to production execution & procurement processes
  • KeyResponsibilities / Accountabilities :

  • Structure, present and facilitate fit change workshops to identify site / country variances to the global operating model
  • Ensure financial and operational controls are in place and embedded in the process
  • To document and maintain the Key Design Principle in functional area for the Template and Standard Processes.
  • Responsible to review, challenge and escalate change for approval as required
  • Lead POD meetings, and attend Change Control meetings
  • Review local process variations to standard model in alignment with principles defined by the Global Process Owners (GPO)
  • To minimise the number of local’ process exceptions or deviations from the Global Template,
  • To drive or support on change management activities driven through planning initiatives, and to in-flight deployments, in process area.
  • Acting as change agents.

  • Provide process expertise to project teams regarding planning processes in scope
  • On-going knowledge transfer into markets / factories,
  • Point of escalation for any process related change request from deployment teams
  • Write, review and sign off process documentation & SOP’s including country localisations
  • Work with operating model & controls teams to ensure early identification of country variances to standard processes
  • Work with country / factory teams to drive the implementation of pre-requisites and alignment to operating model
  • To compile or maintain the Global Template Documentation to keep accurate and current.
  • Key Challenges :

  • Define and deploy global processes across the range of end to end Planning to both SAP (and as relevant, JDE) markets
  • To develop processes that can match business requirements whilst at thesame time delivering standard and consolidated benefits of a global process
  • Multiple system landscape and fragmented processes
  • Multiple country deployment happening concurrently
  • Stabilisation of live entities
  • Qualificationsand experience :

  • Degree qualified orequivalent
  • Ideally, experience ofworking in a Planning function in a complex, matrix organisation with a globalscope. Similar FMCG experience desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in aBusiness Process Owner role an advantage, but not essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge andunderstanding of End to End Planning, Knowledge in other process touchpointareas like Procurement, Production, etc an advantage
  • Demonstrable ability toengage and manage different level stakeholders and multicultural audience / sthrough superior communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to deal withand manage conflict
  • Demonstrable ability tomanage multi-layered project / s with inter-dependencies

  • Travel requirements :

  • Approx. up to 40%-50%travel to international RB locations as and when required
  • Travel will typicallybe in blocks, however may vary to suit the deployment or initiative
