Working within the Health, Safety and Environment team, the student will be a highly active member of the team working as a Sustainability Placement Student.
Assisting with the application of engineering and administrative controls to reduce the environmental impacts associate with site operations.
Supports the collect of site environment KPIs.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the site Environmental Management System.
Supports regulatory compliance efforts including storm water management, employee training, reporting and other associated programs.
Monitors the day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air and water quality and other related programs.
Assists with internal and external environmental audits and identify and resolve basic issues.
Routine functions may include gathering emissions and discharge data, visual site inspections, maintaining waste accumulation areas.
Ongoing project work split between Darlington and other Business Unit programme work
Study of an applicable Environmental Management, Environmental Science or other associated degrees
Excellent computing skills; Experience with Microsoft Office desirable.
Good team working, communication and task prioritization.
Full training will be given for the specific role as well as training on the Student Development Programme.
