What will you be doing?
Working as part of an established team delivering services to our clients as part of the newly expanded Customer Services department, the Systems Support Analyst covers the provision of first line functional fixes and configuration within the core Oracle ERP e-Business Enterprise Suite, maintaining elements of HR and Financial modules, managing the resolution of issues, and dealing with requests for information and / or advice raised by users of the systems and services we support.
Key responsibilities will include :
Prioritise and diagnose incidents within timescale according to agreed procedures in our Oracle systems whilst ensuring that an audit trail is created
Support Systems Support Analysts / line management with investigations of causes of incidents and seek resolution
Understand procedures with more complex issues to seek advice and guidance, or transfer issues / configuration to the D&I support teams
Work with Oracle on Service Requests to resolve problems or seek advice on changing functionality; manage on behalf of Support / Functional Support Analysts as directed
Take ownership to ensure relevant parties are communicated with on progress of incidents and problem resolutions following ITIL best practice under own initiative or as directed by Systems Support Analyst
Prevent system deterioration arising from bad practices or processes, providing advice on system functional use as required
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues, customers, and third-party suppliers
Work on and provide technical support for projects as and when required
Who are we looking for?
Essential :
Experience of liaising positively with clients / customers in a professional manner with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
IT literate with experience of MS Office Suite and ERP applications
Can demonstrate problem-solving capabilities
Pro-active and able to work without detailed supervision, multi-task and to prioritise effectively
Experience of collaborating with business colleagues to achieve a common objective
Can demonstrate active listening skills
Adopts and displays UK SBS core Values and Behaviours
Desirable :
Experience of working in a multi-site shared services environment
Previous customer service experience supporting HR and Financial systems or equivalent
Capability to create and / or work from technical documentation
Customer Services experience within an IT managed services function
Experience of working on implementation projects
