We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our customer focused Accounts team.

In this role we want someone who can operate in a dynamic and changing environment, manage multiple deadlines and be able to manage and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities

What will you do as a Finance Analyst?

The Finance Analyst role will provide commercially focused support and guidance to the Country Managers and the ACE & CEE Decision Support team.

The combined ACE & CEE region has a turnover in excess of $100m and is a key growth driver for the EMEA business.A strategic business partner to drive optimal long-

term profitability, the role will provide overall visibility to the commercial performance for the market, delivering insightful information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management decision making.

Essential Functions

As a Finance analyst, you will act as the lead engagement with the markets on the preparation of the annual budget process and quarterly forecast.

Working closely with the EMEA FP&A and Accounting Operations teams, you will ensure a strong analytic framework to communicate business performance, opportunities and support pricing decisions.

In addition, you will validate the financials, making sure they reflect all known activities in the business and adhere to US GAAP.

Other essential functions include :

  • Developing and driving reporting and analysis of revenue and gross margin that can be used at the Market and Regional level.
  • Preparation of business cases to evaluate new propositions and proposals, providing objective recommendations, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified and fully understood by the key decision makers.
  • Promote understanding of the financial impact and commercial drivers on business decisions and recommendations in a user-friendly way
  • Deep engagement into the revenue cycle, driving the weekly, monthly and quarterly planning rounds in association with Marketing / Sales Operations
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve the overall P&L, leading any projects arising from this review
  • Manage sales operations in conjunction with sales analysts including sales targets, sales force territory changes, sales force case’ escalation.
  • Deeper analysis into pricing impacts on the business, working cross functionally to implement changes.
  • Leading special projects that support management decision-making, such as sales and margin analysis, cost containment, working capital improvement, return on investment, cash flow analysis etc.
  • Consolidation and communication of ACE and CEE financial results and ensuring the Regional Finance team understand the key cost drivers, developing insights that can drive optimal decision making and enhanced value.
  • Key Knowledge and Skills

    The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the General Manager and commercial management team to ensure Finance is a Trusted Business Partner’.

    You need to be customer focused, as well as take a longer term commercial and strategic focus, thinking fast, adapting and developing solutions to deliver deals.

    Other knowledge and skills includes :

  • comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Excellence in planning, implementing and co-managing projects through multiple stakeholders
  • Broad technical background of US GAAP to understand the drivers and demands of all aspects of Regional and Corporate Finance
  • Strong presence, comfortable working with business leaders to build a case and recommend actions
  • Ability to provide and communicate effectively high-quality advice
  • Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics, and with an unrelenting curiosity to identify opportunities to benefit the business
  • Ability to participate in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating environment
  • Experience

    The ideal candidate will have experience of working for a US or UK multi-national regional finance team, and at Regional / Global levels with senior manager level staff from a number of functions.

    Commercial Experience gained outside of a finance role is preferred and you must be a qualified Accountant. Other experience includes :

  • Matrix style organization
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Likely to have 2 years PQE
  • with prior experience leading teams in a Commercially based environment a plus.
