We are looking

for a Financial Analyst to join the Commercial Finance team.

This role is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller of Commercial and the Commercial team, in the financial management of airtime sales, video on demand (VOD) and commercial overheads.

Airtime is the biggest single revenue stream at ITV and significant focus will be needed on understanding the airtime trading model and the key drivers and measures of performance.

Additionally the role is responsible for supporting the growing VOD revenue streams, forming a key part of the ITV growth strategy in Advanced Advertising.

The role will report to the Financial Controller, Commercial and work closely with the sales team to provide commercial advice and strong financial discipline.

The role will be required to work closely with the Business Service Centre (BSC), suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

Monthly reporting for VOD and Airtime, invoicing and tracking major agency and programme finance deals.

Monitoring departmental costs and headcount to budget and understanding any variances arising

Assisting with the budget and bi-annual forecast process for income, cost of sales and overhead accounts within Commercial.

Provide input to annual 5 Year plan.

Direct deal support for sales team with customer set-up and ensuring adequate credit cover.

Monthly monitoring of trading balance and deal debt provision, reconciliation to sales team / system, coordination of rolling forecasts and preparation to assist year-end audit.

Review and analysis of revenue related costs, including preparation of quarterly forecasts with sales managers.

Prepare monthly board pack slides

CAPEX analysis, reporting and financial support to project leads.

Analyse / review external regulatory reporting (Ofcom / Thinkbox)

The ideal candidate :

Qualified accountant with relevant and proven experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

Proven ability to build relationships and work with differing levels of seniority

Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills

Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Adaptable and hard working with a pro-active approach

Demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines

Excellent attention to detail

Strong Excel and IT skills, Experience of using Oracle / Hyperion would be advantageous.

Salary Range : £45,000 - £60,000
