Job Summary

To achieve the financial targets for Travel Money as a result of exceeding customer expectations through the delivery of excellent operational standards and offering exceptional customer service.

Contribute to the overall success of the branch by ensuring sales and profit opportunities are maximised

Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested by the Society.

The post holder shall :

  • Complete accurate audit checks of foreign currency, cash passports, gift vouchers and sterling floats in accordance with the Travel Money Policies and Procedures
  • Conduct regular checks of foreign exchange stock levels to minimise the risk of negative stock revaluation
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of sales, profit and margin expectations versus budgets and utilise the Management Information provided to effectively achieve the Travel Money targets in collaboration with the Branch Manager
  • All relevant paperwork is completed and the Travel Money Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Have a full knowledge of the Travel Money Ordering system to operate it effectively on a daily basis
  • Advertise and promote Travel Money to maximise sales
  • Proactively sell ancillaries at every opportunity
  • Have an awareness of competitor activity to ensure the branch can be competitive within the market place
  • Actively promote Travel Money within their local community to include businesses, schools and colleges
  • Ensure Money Laundering procedures are adhered to and any suspicious transactions are reported to the relevant people
  • Delivers full compliance to legal and health and safety requirements
  • In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment and adhere to Society policies and procedures.
