ROLE OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a growing team at our independent digital marketing agency - we have recently been awarded Performance Marketing Agency of the Year in the Campaign's 2020 Agency of the Year UK and EMEA Awards!

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing and tech projects, ideally will have agency experience , be tenacious with a keen eye for detail and enthusiastic about continuous improvement.

The overall purpose of this role is to ensure various teams within the business are facilitating the needs of a diverse client portfolio, delivering against client objectives and project commitments.

You’ll do this by implementing best practice for project scoping - this includes planning budgets, deliverables, timelines and internal and external stakeholder management.

Day to day project management will include identifying the root cause of challenges, owning the schedule, tracking the output of the teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, meeting quality standards and client goals.

You will provide guidance in team thinking and decision-making, leading clear discussions both internally and with clients about project progress, risks or issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing strong, positive, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of client communications and requests across a variety of projects
  • Overseeing deliverables through to completion within the required time frame and budgets
  • Consistently create detailed and accurately written project briefs, scope documents and plans detailing risks, assumptions, costs, milestones
  • Provide revenue and budget pacing insights and risk reports for projects to ensure tight adherence to the agreed scope / budget
  • Regularly checking delivery of work vs. scope, holding internal stakeholders accountable for quality and timely completion
  • Overseeing and managing resource to client fee utilisation
  • Reporting and escalation - leading reporting across multiple projects, flagging areas outside agreed tolerance
  • Introducing consistency and best practice in terms of ways of working across teams regarding processes and workflow management
  • Encouraging seamless working relationships between internal and external stakeholders, expectation management through constant communication is essential
  • Providing pitch support from time to time; creating and communicating a timeline of delivery across multiple departments and stakeholders

  • Key stakeholders

  • Direct Line Manager : Senior Project Manager
  • Key Stakeholders : Client facing teams including (but not limited to); CRO, Data Solutions (and Analytics), SEO, Web Experience and Content
  • Other Stakeholders : Client Leadership Team e.g. Client Partners, Client Leads and Cross Channel Directors
  • PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • An understanding of the technologies and processes involved in managing any of : SEO, website development and / or analytics projects within an agency environment
  • Relevant PM qualification / experience
  • Demonstrable experience in project management
  • Experience using project management tools for task management
  • Skilled at managing multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service
  • Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment
  • Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do
  • An understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, to help manage multi-discipline projects

  • Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
