Our UK Business Unit is responsible for developing our portfolio of brands in the following key categories : Flavourings & Seasonings, Cooking Sauces & Accompaniments, Quick Meals & Soups, Ambient Desserts and Sweet Treats.

Our Brands include Mr Kipling, Cadbury, Bisto, Bachelors, Ambrosia, Sharwood’s, Oxo, Loyd Grossman, Homepride, Paul Hollywood and McDougall’s with some supported by our strategic partnerships with Mondelez and Nissin.

Our International Business Unit is focused on developing new markets for our brands around the world, including Australia, USA, Republic of Ireland, Middle East, South Africa and Canada.


  • To provide high quality financial management information by the use & development of related support systems
  • To ensure that the site meets its commitments to the business in all aspects of the financial management of the site
  • To lead the Finance Team in providing accurate & timely data & information to internal & external customers
  • To take a proactive role in advising & informing the Senior Management Team on all aspects of the financial status of the site
  • To contribute & add value to the Senior Management Team at a cross-functional level on all issues affecting the site
  • To be the site champion on eliminating waste, guiding site activity through appropriate analysis, using techniques & through personal involvement
  • Control

  • To ensure that all Site overhead budgetary control & reporting is completed & communicated on time & to the correct standard
  • Preparation of annual budgets & periodic forecasts
  • Monthly reporting & communication of site performance
  • To provide strategic focus for the site, identifying losses, cost deployment & focussed improvement activities with particular emphasis on methods to tackle waste
  • To manage, lead & develop the site finance team.

  • To manage financial information for supplier claims
  • To be the point of contact for Lifton Site Finance
  • To lead & manage the cost deployment & focused improvement activity & associated projects
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Overall responsibility for financial matters / queries relating to the Lifton site.
  • Essential

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • 3 years’ post qualification experience, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to develop & build rapport with team & key internal customers
  • Commercial awareness
  • Customer focused as Finance is a service provider to budget holders
  • High level of numeracy
  • Meticulous, high level of attention to detail
  • Effective communicator at all levels
  • Project management in a small scale capacity
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to cope with challenging monthly reporting deadlines
  • Able to deliver set targets within agreed timescales
  • Self-motivated & confident
  • Team player with drive & enthusiasm
  • Desirable

  • Food Manufacturing experience
  • Experience of a large integrated financial accounting system, such as SAP
  • Experience of ABC costing & preparation preferable
  • Understanding of annual standard cost setting requirements e.g. raw materials, labour & overheads standards
  • Knowledge of production processes
