Why this role matters
This role is an opportunity to join the hub development team working on BT's award winning hubs. This role involves key part of the service improvement of the largest deployment of broadband routers in the UK.
The role holder will help define the hub data analytic capability, and will provide insights into the hub behaviour during development, trials and in life phases.
These insights will enable improve features, service assurance and customer experience.
The role holder will work closely with delivery managers, technical project teams and other component owners, taking ownership of issues and tasks relating to data models, data gathering and analysis.
What you'll be doing
The role holder shall take the lead in gathering data from hubs, processing and visualising the data to enable the recognition of potential service improvements.
The role holder will develop tools which can be used by the remainder of the team during product development, rollout and in-
life for capturing and measuring KPIs.
The role holder shall act as third line support and advise on data model issues identified in products in development and the field.
To include, but not limited to, testing of product behaviour, advising on data model design and potential improvements
The role holder shall perform ad hoc testing as necessary to ensure the correct implementation and operation of product data models, and then manage any remedial action identified internally and with third parties.
The role holder shall actively follow developments in standardisation bodies, the Broadband Forum, and contribute insight for the wider team on upcoming enhancements which might be included in BT hubs
The role holder shall perform other tasks relating to hub development as seen fit.

Responsible for technical assessment of delivery plans for programmes.

Provides technical leadership and mentors team(s) to provide technical / professional solutions to new innovative services.

Works alongside delivery manager for each Project

Works with delivery manager to establishes milestones, team objectives and delegates assignments.

Likely to have relevant, contemporary and industry recognised qualifications appropriate to the specific function.
Likely to have a first degree qualification (engineering / science) in relevant area.

Data gathering from multiple sources, data processing and visualisation
Dashboard prototyping and development to enable product improvement
Knowledge of Big Data technologies
Requirements capture and prioritisation. Stakeholder management skills
Drive for customer service insight and improvement
Ideally : -
Good knowledge of the TR-069 protocol, TR-098, TR-104 and TR-181 data models. Understanding the Implementation and deployment of TR-
069 in broadband networks
Understanding of broadband networks and CPE systems. Knowledge of Home Gateway standards including, but not restricted to : IPv4 / IPv6, PPP, IPoE, Wifi, UPnP / Multicast, EoGRE
Hands on experience of Nokia HDM or other ACS systems
Willing to undertake self-development in required areas.
