About the Position
ALS is looking for a General Manager of the Carlisle Microbiology site.
This is an extensive role, with the successful candidate being involved in all areas of the business including financial performance, client relationships and general management of site staff, with the ability to inspire and focus teams with clear communication.
Ultimately, the role is responsible for the effective and efficient running of the site and delivering an exceptional client experience.
The position will report into the UK General Manager but also work directly with a variety of Managers around the business.
Ideally educated to degree level in a scientific subject, but experience in a high throughput laboratory business, in a management position, is essential.
Strong leadership and inter-personal skills are a pre-requisite of the position, as is being a proficient user of Microsoft Office programs, with advanced knowledge of LIMS a key benefit.
This is a Senior Manager level appointment with the requirement to deliver exceptional results.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the site, possess excellent organisational skills, as well as being an ambassador of the ALS Core Values.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for people, business and clients.
