Winners are working with a pioneering and well-reputed business in Falmouth in order to recruit a Production Engineer to support operations as a result of diversifying and growth.
Based in high-tech, modern surrounds and reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager the role of Production Engineer is there to be responsible for the implementation and continued improvement of production processes and procedures, project work, reduction of cost, waste, adherence to site H&S and maximisation of of success.
Duties and responsibilities will include :
Managing KPI, leading and supporting operations to resolve tech issues.
Carrying out and documenting investigative work.
Developing robust production processes and designs.
Compliance with quality standards while working towards product improvement and cost reduction.
Manage operational product process documentation using ERP itemising alterations (BOM, product routings and change requests).
Contribute to and build relationships with all relating teams; Design / Production / Manufacturing / Assembly in order to keep communication flow over product, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
Undertake analysis to identify processes weakness and improvement, root cause analysis and resolution.
Define specifications and procedures and acting to improve product assembly & test.
Advocate continuous improvement, supporting Senior Production Engineer (Lean / Sigma tools).
Ensure safety of the work environment in line with regulatory standards at all times.
Coming with experience in an electronic / electrical / mechanical engineering capacity, the successful applicant will be either apprenticeship served and work-
skilled or degree educated in a relating discipline.
You will demonstrate experience and or qualification of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma and possess excellent interpersonal and problem-
solving skills, being able to lead, motivate and perform hands-on duties with a solid working command of MS Office products.
