At Pavers, we are looking for a Full Time Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive to join our expanding Head Office Performance Marketing team in York / Leeds.
As the Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive, you’ll manage the web trading team, delivering the day to day running of our online businesses, executing our long-term commercial strategy and 5 year growth plan whilst managing multiple E-Commerce sites.
This role can based in York full time or split between our Leeds(LS1) and York(YO26) offices.
The role will also include trading our main brands, Pavers and Jones Bootmaker, International sites and Marketplaces. You’ll focus on our customer to maximise online sales and profitability and deliver the Ecommerce business growth plan through site merchandising, CRO projects, stock visibility, and optimising the customer experience, whilst working in close collaboration with the Ecommerce Development Manager.
Pavers has been trading for almost 50 years and is a highly profitable and growing business with a strong balance sheet and a turnover in the region of £150m with plans to increase this over the next few years.
We are looking for someone with significant hands-on Ecommerce experience on website trading and merchandising who can maximise conversion rates of site visits, with the experience and the confidence to develop and grow our in-house capabilities, including upskilling the existing team.

Main duties of our Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive :
Trading and Delivery
Pavers & Jones Bootmaker Site Content, Customer Journey and Commercial performance. Utilising web analytics to ensure improved business performance whilst instilling new processes.
Develop and manage the e-commerce trading calendar and activity plan to maximise CRO and SEO. Produce ecommerce trading reports including sales, KPIs and stock whilst developing full funnel KPI improvement plans including home page plans, email journeys, promotions, link management and online product launches.
Take ownership of on-site merchandising of the brand product portfolio. Working alongside buying and merchandising to ensure there is optimal availability at the correct price point to ensure maximised sales opportunities.
Optimise product ranges to drive customer engagement and sales. Identify / review slow-movers with HS Merchandiser / CRO specialist and make decisions on how to handle these
Work closely with the Analytics Manager to Monitor / report trading patterns, customer trends, researching product categories, key competitors, and appropriate technologies including google analytics
Review customer product feedback and implement corrective actions
Strong analytical and commercial approach - able to take insights from digital platforms and report, present and propose future strategies
Ensure that all information and imagery is up to date across all digital platforms in keeping with legal requirements and brand guidelines
Develop and manage the Ecommerce team including specialist marketplaces / international and CRO with clear commercial objectives and deliverables
Working across the wider Marketing team and other departments including, Customer Service, Buying, Merchandising, IT, and Operations maximising all site activity and content, segmentation and personalisation from a stock and product perspective
Enhance UX / CX / UI and conversion performance.
Working with the Marketing acquisition & retention team to identify where we can maximise online sales and profitability and optimise traffic and conversion.
Work with the in-house IT and Ecommerce Development Manager to identify, plan and deliver online shop enhancements.
Work with the warehouse / fulfilment teams to deliver excellent customer service and improve shopper NPS and ecommerce profitability whilst managing the service experience of all consumer orders

Building / enhancing relationships with suppliers
Deliver 5 year growth plan and critical path, stick to project delivery deadlines and communicate performance and progress in weekly trading meetings.
Requirements to be our Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive :
Ability to influence and work with key departments particularly Finance on complex 3rd party on boarding of new suppliers e.
g. payment gateways, currency etc
Experience managing 3rd Party retail relationships and marketplace partners especially Amazon
Experience liaising with service providers / platform managers to drive product marketing & brand awareness
Be a seasoned Ecommerce professional preferably from a Retail Trading background with experience working in a fast-paced online trading environment, ideally with Online merchandising / trading experience.
Be an expert in developing commercial web sites with a track record of improving online sales performance, conversion, UPT, AOV, and minimising customer drop-off.
A self-starter, be able to work at a fast pace and adapt to an ever-changing retail environment with excellent communication skills
Have great stakeholder management skills across different departments, and ability to work cross functionally with excellent communications skills
Have a passion for innovation and trying new ideas to improve sales opportunities
Be a strong team manager and have experience of managing ecommerce teams previously
Have understanding of up to date retail and ecommerce technology including google analytics.
Be proactive and supportive of the wider Marketing teams and provide subject matter expertise.
Able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to change tack in an agile way, depending on the needs of the business
Have a trading mentality constantly refining and honing for weekly trade
