Product Creation Project Manager

As a Product Creation Project Manager reporting to a Senior Project Portfolio Manager within the SITA Portfolio Relevance Product Creation Team, you will lead and oversee several Product development projects owning overall responsibility for their successful completion.

Within this fast-paced global environment you will lead a team of project professionals and subject matter experts tasked to develop the Products as planned on time and within scope.

You will manage distant teams and enjoy working with others of diverse backgrounds.

You will support our vital launch capability for our key product developments and provide the essential push to ensure that we bring new products and features to market as fast and as successfully as possible.

What you will do

  • Lead the specification, design, development, testing and SITA products within a DevOps environment, adhering to the Innovation Management Framework and SITA Product Lifecycle, whilst meeting timeline, budget & quality requirements.
  • Guide and Coach the Product Managers with Innovation Management Framework to bring new products and features to market as fast as possible delivering MVP and fully productized product
  • Work closely with product managers and product owners to decide which projects and features are more important to develop over others.
  • Assist product management in the structuring of the developments, identifying all required resources to create a large cross functional team made of experts ensuring resources are assigned, costed and committed
  • Determine committed Business readiness project plan in agreement with the project team members, manage project team and contributors according to project requirements.
  • Recommend improvement actions to shorten time-to-market performance and product development quality & practices across the organization
  • Agree roles, responsibilities and activities as well as establish milestones for successful project completion with definition of the key Product Development workstreams
  • Must be able to integrate, build, and work with cross-functional teams to ideate, build, and launch products.
  • Ensure consistency across all disciplines by guiding teams through SITA's product development process.
  • Co-ordinate with key contributors to review program status, scope changes, and to detect any deviations or cross program dependencies and facilitate any conflict resolution
  • Regularly review development costs incurred against agreed budget and identify deviations and propose mitigations where possible.
  • Should be technically astute enough to determine market and technical feasibility and implications of each choice Product Management team makes.
  • Regularly review project status with the Cross Functional Team and stakeholders, identify deviations or changes and suggest corresponding corrective actions.
  • Identify, analyze and quantify risks and take steps to mitigate risks; including organizational gaps and recovery, fast track plan
  • Manage the Discovery / Prototyping / Scoping / Asset Build Stages with key stakeholders and customers to be developed (Business Impact, Cost, Planning, Risks analysis)
  • Specify IT Business requirements & design products based on Requirements to implement the Product into the Sales to Cash Chain
  • Prepare with the Project team the submission of the project to the Investment board preparation depending on the type of investment
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers when required in order to secure the product's delivery.
  • Define supplier contract service definition and agree interfacing processes and tools,
  • Represent the product / program externally and internally, communicating status to all stakeholders.
  • Determine committed Business readiness project plan in agreement with the project team members, manage project team and contributors according to project requirements.
  • Conduct and document the Exit Gates sign-off of the Innovation Management Framework with all key stakeholders (during all phases of development
  • Coordinate the implementation of the operational processes and tools (Service Delivery, Operational Management, Pricing Strategy, Reporting, Service Levels, Billing, etc).
  • Coordinate Proof of concept of the product(s) in development through to general launch.
  • Who you are

  • 5-10 years’ experience including 3-5 years experience in Product Development Project Management / Product Marketing & Airport IT Environment
  • Strong stakeholders’ management skills and ability to communicate at Project Review Board
  • Strong leadership and ability to influence in a virtual matrix organization
