Job Description

The Regional AVI Sales Specialist within the Network and Security Business Unit (NSBU) is responsible for a coordinated sales approach for the NSBU’s AVI product offering in Northern Europe.

The AVI Product is VMware's Virtual Load Balancer product and is tightly integrated with the VMWare Product line as NSX, the End User Computing Products (EUC and Horizon) and the TANZU Platform.

As the market is moving compute functionality from hardware to software, the AVI virtual load balancer is a key component of the VMWare datacenter and networking product strategy.

the AVI virtual load balancer has been appraised by the industry as one of the leading virtual load balancer products, its ease of deployment, ease of management and flexibility provides disruptive offerings against other companies who continue to focus on hardware based load balancer products.

The overall purpose for the role is to increase the focus on the AVI product line to accelerate revenue growth and market acceptance for the AVI virtual load-balancer.

The AVI Sales Specialist task is to broaden the presence of the AVI products with the Northern European customer base by supporting the VMWare sales teams in their sales motions.

In addition the AVI Sales Specialist will be responsible to identify new sales opportunities and identify and support the recruitment of AVI specific business partners who can augment our Routes to Market.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for selling AVI products into Northern regional customers. network
  • Drive account portfolio sales strategy and focus on top accounts and establish sales cadence with the corporate account teams
  • Adopt account portfolio sales strategy leveraging channel partners
  • Responsibility to move the transaction through the entire sales cycle
  • Drive network virtualization adoption and identify new opportunities in the related Enterprise accounts
  • Solidify existing customer accounts and elevate VMware to a more strategic position
  • Match the VMware Network and Security solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Experience Required :

  • Experience in selling load balancing software, in software defined data center environments
  • Exposure to selling in an overlay or product sales specialist capacity
  • Exposure to selling in both a direct and an indirect or channel-driven model
  • Experience working with a team of professionals in sales campaigns that include sales executives, field SE’s, Inside Sales, Field Marketing, Services, etc.
  • A proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive environment
  • BA / BS degree or higher, or equivalent job-related experience
  • Some travel expected focused on the Northern European Region with occasional visits to the US
