The Data Services Management & Operations team for the Data Lab will be key to achieving the vision and supporting the operational integration of :
Data orientated Shared Services to focus on operational and transaction-based activities including market data collection, aggregation, analytics and Business Intelligence and Management Information reporting and integrate related 'shadow' activities across the organisation
Key data focused services regarding Core Market Returns, Lloyd's Statistics, TOM and a range of MA and Broker data services
The structure to provide support in the area of Run interfacing with the nascent COM structure
In support of Protect, Promote and Provide, the Data Lab will deliver improved operating effectiveness in market facing areas including expediting data related service provision
Achieving cost efficiencies in improved efficiency through automation, improved procurement of data (removal of duplication and / or unnecessary procurement) and consideration of outsourcing opportunities
Prioritise the development of capabilities in data aggregation, data analytics and use of existing and state-of-the-art technologies in support of improved Customer / Market Product / Service Management
The Role is responsible for establishing and managing a robust, comprehensive and centralised operational data governance function, ensuring compliance, collaboration, effective data management and full transparency in the end to end management of critical data.
What Will You Do?
Drive the operational data governance function within Lloyd's, defining the operational governance model including clear lines of operational data accountability across the various business stakeholder groups.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure a coherent and robust operational data governance framework is collaboratively agreed, adhered to and valued Lead effective, cross-
functional change management processes, ensuring compliance with governance and data management policies
Represent the data operations team at the appropriate governance and risk forums
Ensure data is available, accurate, complete and accessible within required timescales
Assess the impact of regulatory change on the operational governance framework and manage any required operational changes
Develop and implement operational data controls (data governance control framework) including operational policies, standards, data dictionary, glossary and data and business rules
Define and manage processes for data management within core data platforms including data governance workflows
Operational data ownership / stewardship and facilitation of cross-business collaboration
Ensure data governance and compliance within projects, managing effective transition from project to the business as usual operation
Support data remediation, ensuring compliance with the data governance risk, control and governance set at the corporation level Implement and monitor access and security controls where required Implement processes ensuring compliance, including retention
What You'll Need
An experienced data governance manager in a large organisation, with a strong track record of driving beneficial business improvements
Focused on delivery of data governance programs, operationalising from design to implementation from technical and process perspective
Experience of having designed and delivered a comprehensive data governance program and monitoring business as usual progress of for minimum of 2 years using BI / MI Up-
to-date with relevant knowledge of Data Management best practice
Experience delivering data governance programs focusing on regulatory compliance and meeting internal standards
Extensive knowledge of data governance, data quality, information management, master data management, data architecture, and data integration
Knowledge of data relating to the Insurance industry
Familiar with Data Governance tools e.g. Collibra Familiar with Lean and Agile approaches
