The Actuarial Delivery manager role is a key member of the corporate functions strategic project team. The role will report to the Head of Delivery CFT and will have end to end accountability for the delivery of a transformation programme or a large workstream.
This opportunity that would suit an actuary from a consulting background in particular (or an Actuary with a wide breadth of project focused experience).
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership on a corporate function transformation programme or key workstream Ensuring that systems and tools keep pace with rapidly evolving business needs Partner with the business lead, programme managers and technical resources to deliver key milestones in a complex environment Work with key business stakeholders to define the programme / workstream scope, and identify and prioritise requirements Lead and manage the technical delivery resources, work with cross functional teams with a focus on quality deliverables within agreed timelines Ensure that technical solutions are effectively delivered, aligned to the M&G technical strategy and deliver value to our business partners Ensure that the technical solutions are fit of purpose and aligned to the architecture roadmaps As part of the Programme senior team, collaborate and work effectively with peers to deliver quality and value for the function Manage the smooth transition from the project delivery team into BAU Introduce programme management rigour and discipline across all programmes Be able to articulate complex problems, risks and solutions to key stakeholders.
Adhered to all frameworks and policies Understands the different phases of product / service delivery lifecycle in Customer Technology and is able to contribute to, plan or run these phases
Knowledge Skills & Experience :
3+ years’ experience working with Actuarial teams
Exposure to Willis Towers Watson products or similar preferred.
Good knowledge on the IT Industry and emerging trends particularly with a focus on enabling world class business solutions
Knowledge on best practices, strategies, and processes associated with the ITIL (information technology infrastructure library) framework
Detailed knowledge on best practices and methodologies relating to engineering delivery including product development, and DevOps
Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislation frameworks.
Experience working within a complex matrix management structure and managing a diverse range of senior stakeholders and third party technical providers in an off-shore context.
Experience in leading large delivery teams / functions in the delivery of a large portfolio of complex delivery programmes
