Job Description

JN Bentley are looking for a Lead Hand in the Rhymney area (NP22)


  • Actively communicate and deputise for site managers and foremen where required
  • Lead on Safety for your gang and ensure correct work practices are followed
  • Assist in preparation of risk assessments and method statements and ensure these are followed
  • Monitor and report on subcontractor safety performance
  • You will be leading a gang of 3 / 4
  • Candidate Specification

    Experience Required :

  • You will also need proven experience in a previous lead hand role.
  • We need a lead hand that can motivate a team and communicate effectively.
  • You will deliver work of the highest quality and value, whilst demonstrating excellent standards of safety. Experience in civil ground work, pipe laying and concreting is preferable.
  • Experience of prep of risk assessments and method statements is essential
  • Tickets Required

  • Current CSCS or CPCS card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ticket that would be advantageous However we do offer full training if needed

  • National Water Hygiene card
  • SSSTS would be advantageous
  • Slinger signaller
  • Confined Spaces
  • Package
