Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside an outstanding school in Spennymoor to recruit a passionate Sport Assistant to work alongside children and young people with a multitude of Special Needs.

Working as a Sport Assistant, you will be supporting children in Key Stages 3 and 4 across the PE Curriculum, accompanied by a Teacher and other Support Assistants.

You will be working with children and young people with a multitude of SEND such as :

  • Autism
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Speech Language Communication Needs
  • Severe or profound learning difficulties
  • The successful candidate must have experience with some of the following :

  • Experience working with people with SEND / Disabilities
  • Sports / PE experience, Candidates with Coaching qualifications will also be considered
  • Be confident supporting children and young people with a range of SEND
  • Teaching Personnel can offer Support Assistant’s :

  • Competitive rates of GBP285-375 per week, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
  • Access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications and knowledge of the field such as : Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, Behaviour that Challenges and more
  • An experienced Consultant along with our dedicated on call service
  • To be accepted for this role, you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one through ourselves.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
