Job Summary

The Auxiliary Assistant performs clerical andadministrative duties to support the operations of the Business. The dutiesperformed require contact with other department personnel and supervisors, aswell as external parties, as to exchange and or verify information.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Performs Item Processing functions, including but not limited to
  • Processing daily bank exchange items with the allotted timeframes;
  • Locate errors and make appropriate adjustments and corrections to clearing items to ensure that the transactions are in balance Prepare multiple entry sheets for transactions for posting to General Ledgers.

  • Performs the following Cash Letter functions :
  • Daily download of incoming information from systems;
  • Daily preparation of outgoing cash letters for other local banks; and

    Research and adjust cash letter correspondence, when and if required.

  • Assist with the daily balancing of the General Ledger by reviewing and researching reasons for differences
  • Process cash collateral affiliated accounts and auto insurance
  • Scans daily exchange items
  • Arrange the delivery of insurance payments to and from the Insurance providers for mortgage clients
  • Performs the following Loan related functions :
  • Receives Home-Owners insurance policy renewals and forwards to the mortgage servicing team for update of MSP records

    Files updated insurance policies on mortgage client’s collateral file

    Vault custodian of the loan files- Assist with the maintenance and control of the loan files

  • Participates in and successfully pass, at regular intervals, the mandatory training in accordance with BVI Anti-Money Laundering rules, laws, and regulations and such other applicable rules and regulations having regard to the level and nature of risk posed by the bank’s banking business in the Territory.
  • Performs such other duties as are assigned by the Supervisor
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Develops and runs special projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Independence of Judgment

    The degree of judgment is related to the compilationand / or presentation of simple information as well as identification and definitionof new problems of moderate complexity.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has no direct supervisoryresponsibilities.

    Work Environment

    Employees in this job work inan office environment with a comfortable room temperature, good lighting, andquiet conditions.

    Must be available fortravel outside of the BVI and within the US countries and territories. Able to work extended hours when necessary.

    Minimum Requirements

    High School diploma from an accredited institution.The incumbent must have one to two years of experience in a similarposition and computer proficiency.
