Key responsibilities will include :

  • Provide inputs to the Senior Buyer manage the strategy to drive down costs, leveraging value deliver (e.g. cost and risk management strategies, service levels, quality, continuous improvements supporting the business, mitigating business risks
  • Partner with internal stakeholders alongside Senior Buyer to identify sourcing opportunities, business requirements to run procurement of tactical spend
  • Run tactical sourcing with suppliers to ensure a fair and responsible procurement of services or goods according to companies’ best practices
  • Negotiate contracts and liaise the execution of the agreement with legal department.
  • Support Procurement Excellence to monitor targets, market dynamics that impact materials / services availability and / or pricing, and organization behaviour
  • Perform transactional activities related to supplier setup (only before boost), data management, category spend and other project activities, including the :
  • Issuing purchase orders
  • Monitoring and following up on non-delivered purchase orders
  • Manage price and information changes
  • Support internal stakeholders with procurement related tasks and perform data stewardship activities (e.g. data maintenance / cleaning) to assures masterdata is properly maintained in the system to be called off
  • Key Success Profile Capabilities :

    LEAD- Manage procurement workload, looking after purchase orders creation and follow up, and promote continuous improvements

  • COMMUNICATE- Manage stakeholders and keep up to date on delivery dates and changes
  • DELIVER RESULTS- Support team in savings and tactical goals
  • INNOVATE- support develop supplier relationships to deliver improvements for Calor, in both cost and service level
  • SUPPORT- key part of the team, working in collaboration with other Buyers and Procurement Excellence team to provide the best procurement support to end users.

  • Team size 9 individuals, reporting into a Senior Buyer
  • Managing a tactical portfolio within Senior Buyer’s scope of work
  • Targeted savings and other procurement value contributions in line with Procurement Strategy, aggregated to team target
  • Mitigating business risks with Supplier development and relationship improvement
  • Active development of Stakeholder relationships across the business
  • As such we would like you to have / be :

  • Educated to a Bachelor degree level or CIPS qualified or equal through 1+ years of Procurement experience
  • Knowledge of procurement activities, including tactical sourcing with demonstrable successes achieved
  • Great knowledge of Procurement / ERP systems and processes, including creation of purchase orders. Experience in SAP and / or Ariba would be preferable
  • Experience of tracking of KPIs and orders follow up
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal, and communication skills to multiple levels of the organisation
  • Analytical and organised
