Teaching Assistant Weymouth

Prospero Teaching are looking for a primary teaching assistant for a school based in Weymouth. The suitable candidate will be confident working with children in small groups or 1 to 1 setting to help students that require extra support.

The school already have a strong & experienced staff & are looking for someone who can assist in the classroom. The position would suit someone looking to gain more experience in the classroom or has the prospect of a teaching career.

The candidate would need to be energetic, highly-motivated & able to think quickly.

Hours 8 : 30 am 4pm

Experience, training and qualification :

Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.

Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.

Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.

The ability to grow individual personal development.

Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.

Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.

Experience supporting an individual with Autism.

Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must :

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
