This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a well organised and busy medium sized support unit.
Service users living on site have a diagnosis of ASD, moderate to severe learning disabilities and additional severe and complex needs.
As a Deputy Manager your responsibilities will include;
The supervision and direct care provision of the Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to ensure that Service Users receive a complete person-centred care service.
leading by example, including overseeing medication, activities and care plans.
Mentoring, supervising, coaching and assessing team leaders and support workers
Ensuring mandatory training of staff is up to date
Monitoring staff performance through appraisals and supervisions
QCQ compliance and auditing
Manage control of petty cash effectively with weekly audits
Plan and record staffs annual leave
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications :
Previous management / supervisory experience (desirable)
You must have the skills necessary to manage a challenging and busy service with a staff team of approximately 45.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Experience working with individuals with Autism
Sound understanding of CQC and social care regulation
Safeguarding Children training within 1 year
Infection Control training within 1 year
A DBS check for Children’s and Adult’s services dated within the last 12 months preferably on the update service
This is a permanent position.
37.5 hours per week including some evenings and weekends.
£26,000 per annum.
