Are you a Senior electrical systems engineer that has or would like to work within Robotics?

Due exciting developments the entire facility is expanding, this is leading to requirement for various skill sets to join the organisation.

What would be required from you :

Provide deep technical knowledge of electrical principles to support company projects in delivering remote handling system solutions.

  • Delivery of electrical design and implementation work packages ensuring budget, schedule and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Develop system requirements in collaboration with other project engineers and delivering robust and verified solutions that meet the agreed requirements.
  • Evaluating electrical CAD designs and documentation, reviewing these to ensure compliance with appropriate standards and EU directives.
  • Strong understanding of technical documentation control and being able to follow company quality procedures
  • Establishing Manufacturing Quality Plans to support the manufacturing, testing and commissioning requirements to ensure a safe and functional system.
  • Authorise and sign off major project activities / milestones / reports of associated work packages
  • Responsible for the management and development of staff in the Electrical Systems Group; including agreeing personnel development plans and areas of professional development, providing job performance feedback, setting objectives, completing staff APS reports and ensuring that all the relevant company mandatory training requirements are completed.
  • Essential Aptitudes and Experience

  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Electronic / Electrical degree.
  • Chartered Engineer or progressing towards chartership.
  • Electronic / Electrical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience of designing and managing complex Electrical systems
  • Ability to work with project stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts and pro-active in problem solving
  • Ability to deliver highly complex engineering projects from requirements definition through to commissioning of the systems.
  • Strong Understanding of governance, HS and compliance issues.
  • Proven ability to interact efficiently with people in a variety of different situations.
  • Ability to manage people and equipment to deliver complex engineering projects from conception, through planning to execution
  • Substantial experience of designing complex mechatronic systems
  • Ability to work with project stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts and pro-active in problem solving
  • Ability to deliver highly complex engineering projects from cradle to grave.
  • Understanding of governance, HS and compliance issues
