  • Able to collaborate with other SLR regions to assist their development of natural capital capability.Key ResponsibilitiesOver the past 3 years, SLR has developed our natural capital profile, capability and engagement with a range of clients across public and private sector.

    Our pipeline of work is strengthening and Natural Capital is one of our strategic priorities for the European region. We are looking for a Consultant / Senior consultant specialising in natural capital approaches.

    Natural capital is an exciting and rapidly evolving area and hence we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to support our growing team, who can engage with our wide range of clients to lead natural capital projects whilst also proactively promoting SLR’s profile in the natural capital arena and also contributing to future developments around natural capital policy.

    At SLR, we help support our clients to understand how embedding natural capital at the heart of their decision making can reduce their business risks, provide opportunities and enable them to move towards providing a positive environmental impact.

    As a Natural Capital consultant, you’ll be working with our clients’ to help them identify and understand their environmental impacts and dependencies.

    To work with our specialist environmental teams in areas such as carbon, energy, water, waste, biodiversity, air quality, flood risk to establish a baseline of environmental impacts and dependencies.

    To work with the client to create a vision and strategy which enables the client reduce impacts and dependencies and work towards environmental net gain, and to engage with our specialist environmental teams to support the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the strategy.

    You will also assist in supporting our ESG work.

    Being able to develop good client relationships and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (both externally and internally) is an essential aspect of the role.

    This also brings an opportunity for the candidate to grow their profile within the natural capital arena and to contribute to increasing the pipeline of work for the region.

    SLR operates a one-team culture globally across all of our regions and the candidate will also join the SLR Global Natural Capital team and will be involved in supporting other regions in developing their Natural Capital capability by way of sharing best practice, and supporting international natural capital client discussions and projects.
