Vacancy Description :

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join our Customer Management division based in the North West / Bury or Preston Brook Offices.

This role would be ideal for either a newly qualified accountant, who is looking to gain invaluable experience working in a fast-

paced industry, or for an experienced Finance Manager who is looking to use their experience to progress within the organisation.

We would also consider studying finalists who are looking to complete their studies in the very near future.

Role :

The Finance Manager role is an integral part of the team, and works across a number of functions including Sales, Planning, Operations and Corporate.

The role is a great balance of commercial and core finance.

The successful individual will report into the Head of Finance and work on every aspect of the financials, from multi-year forecasting to working capital and cashflow, variance analysis to monthly reviews, and everything in-between.

    Being a technology and innovation led company, we work with a lot of data, and being able to turn this data into information quickly and effectively will put you in good stead to help drive the business forward.

    Strong excel skills are preferable given our extensive use of Excel and SAP.

    Results Focus :

    Results are everything to a company of our size and stature. You will be expected to ensure accurate representation of the P&Ls, post all required ledger entries, along with reconciliations of all working capital, accruals and prepayments, and maintain cash flow reconciliations.

    In addition to this, review reported performance against flexed targets, and ensure that the key drivers of variances are explained.

    As part of this you will need to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business to influence financial performance and understand cost drivers & challenge assumptions where necessary.

    Forecasting :

    We’re always looking ahead, and to do this we need you to produce accurate forecasts of revenue, cost and margin by liaising with & challenging the teams across the division.

    You will work with the teams to review forecast against Business Plan and previous forecast targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained.

    Reporting :

    It’s our bread and butter’ as a Finance function. As you’d expect we’re required to deliver monthly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to tight deadlines.

    We want you to help to streamline existing processes, and design new reports and processes where necessary.

    Skills & Experience :

    Qualified / Finalist Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

    Previous experience in accounting role preferred (industry or practice).

    Strong Excel / Analytical skills.

    Good at communicating at all levels, with finance and non-finance teams

    Ability to manage own workload, and meet tight reporting deadlines.

    Hands on and enthusiastic individual looking for career development

    Systems Used

    SAP and Excel used extensively, along with Word & PowerPoint.
