  • Work with marketing, sales, and supply teams to identify new product opportunities for embellishment

  • A fantastic opportunity is available for an Embellishment (New Product Development) Associate to join our Supply Services team.

  • You will be responsible for :
  • New Embellishment Projects

  • Work with marketing, sales, and supply teams to identify new product opportunities for embellishment
  • Project manage embellishment NPDs from start to finish
  • Lead the packaging development with packaging suppliers and production partners to ensure the new products are designed optimally for cost and manufacturing
  • Ensure that the first production plans are aligned to business needs and stock is available when required
  • Coordinate tests and trials for new products including transit testing
  • Promotional units

  • In conjunction with the POS team and key partners, lead the development and implementation of all promotional units
  • Work with key partners in the sales and supply teams to design and manufacture promotional units including optimizing loadups, refining assemblies, and maintaining production standards
  • Ensure the on-time production and delivery of finished goods back into the warehouse
  • Packaging

  • Lead all new packaging development and pack optimization for embellishment, both existing and new SKUs
  • Drive cost savings across the packaging portfolio
  • Manage all packaging suppliers including artworks, cutter guides, and quality standards
  • Raise purchase orders for tooling and ad-hoc packaging purchases
  • Master data

  • Ensure all master data is developed, input, and approved across systems for new products and promotional units
  • Work with the master data teams to ensure consistency in data across all systems and correct errors as required
  • Maintain an active portfolio list for all embellished SKUs including job types, manufacturing planning data, and other required details
  • Continuous improvement

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement across the portfolio including production efficiencies, packaging cost savings, and operational process improvements
  • Driving key continuous improvement projects from ideation to completion
  • key challenges :

  • Gaining a detailed knowledge of all embellishment activities for the UK market Understanding and meeting project timetable deadlines and market launch dates.
  • Challenging current business practice to improve the embellishment operation for UK activities
  • Identifying cost saving opportunities (e.g. Squeeze) and making them happen
  • Is this You?

  • Technical / scientific background
  • Educated to degree level in a product design, engineering or similar discipline
  • Must be logical, computer literate, with experience of report writing and use of spread sheets
  • Experience required in Pack Development, Project management
  • Keen attention to detail
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Ability to deal with large amounts of data
  • Ability to organise data methodically and systematically
  • Flexibility and adaptability to ever changing business needs and timescales
  • Initiative to challenge current business practices
  • Able to communicate at all levels particularly via e-mail
  • Comfortable with a Customer is right attitude
  • Ability to maintain security & confidentiality
  • Demonstrate awareness, understanding & working practice of equality within the workplace
  • Manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG) experience and understanding of The supply chain process of finish goods from factory, to embellishment, to customer would be an advantage
