The Role

The Implementation Analyst will be responsible for supporting the day to day management of the quantitative models and data management across various sectors.

This involves validating inputs to our models as well as the output from the quantitative signals. The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive and cleansed data spanning across all asset classes and various data sources across AHL.

Play a vital role alongside the Data Researchers, Data Engineering and Quantitative Researchers in the production processing of new sets of data and ongoing data integrity used for AHL's Alpha models.

Additionally, the role will involve working closely with the portfolio managers, technology and external counterparts to ensure the smooth running of the end to end trading process.

This involves validation of our models, execution and downstream booking process. As part of the Implementation team the role will include coverage for support to other research sectors for the testing and implementation of research changes into the portfolio.


  • Assist in the investment implementation and day to day management of AHL's sector products. Be a systems and implementation expert in collaboration with other technically minded team members.
  • Contribute to AHL's overall Investment and Data Implementation effort by collaborating with other teams across AHL.
  • Support the curation of numerous varied data sets, financial and non-financial, and structured and unstructured in nature.
  • Support the ongoing integrity of the data used by the quantitative research teams and the production trading algorithms.
  • Ideally have an aptitude with programming languages, preferably python. Familiarity with Linux / Unix.
  • Is aware of what statistical and mathematical tools and techniques are available and able to independently decide what is appropriate to use in which circumstances.
  • Monitoring and implementation of regulatory and compliance related restrictions.
  • Liaise with technology, infrastructure and external teams to ensure minimal impact from planned changes. Escalate issues to portfolio managers and research members for resolution.
  • Ensure the timely implementation of AHL funds rebalancing, strategy re-allocation and coordination and implementation of new business.
  • Support the ongoing integrity of the data used by the quantitative research teams and production trading algorithms.
  • Technical Competencies

  • Strong academic record and higher education degree with high mathematical and computing contend e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or another disciplines involving technical and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Experience working with creating technical solutions for operation and data related tasks / processes.
  • Programming skills in SQL and an object oriented language, preferably python.
  • Financial industry experience preferred.
