Head of PMO Permanent, full time Sidcup & Stratford

Salary : GBP 65,000 to GBP 75,000 depending on experience

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of PMO to join L&Q at a very exciting time where we will invest, grow and transform our business to provide a better service to customers old and new.

We are looking for an experienced Head of PMO to supervise and lead the PMO Team, overseeing the activities, processes and procedures to deliver all IT programmes and projects.

The role supports the IT Leadership Team by providing clear information on all aspects of IT departmental delivery performance whilst managing and supporting wider organisational change through product owners and product delivery teams.

The role will report into the Director of Planning and will have up to 3 direct reports. The Planning function of IT ensure that resourcing, product / project management and administration are all fulfilled within L&Q standards.

The Head of PMO will :

  • Proactively manage an agile Technology & Digital roadmap, that adapts to changing business priorities and investments
  • Demand plan in the context of the business change agenda, ensuring sufficient IT capacity and capability / maturity across people, processes, tools and information held
  • Plan and manage financial capacity in relation to Investment and IT budgets
  • Regularly communicate portfolio status, progress, risks and issues to key stakeholders and senior leadership across L&Q

  • Manage the PMO team and ensuring all projects are setup and run in accordance with L&Q Project Management standards
  • Develop the maturity of the PMO function and embed a culture of continuous improvement
  • Skills and Experience :

  • Relevant technical accreditation (e.g. PRINCE2, ISEB or similar)
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of Agile work practices and methods
  • Experience of running an IT 'PMO 2.0' / Agile PMO function within a mid-to-large organisation
  • Experience of managing IT roadmaps and ensuring alignment to business strategy
  • Experience of resource management and managing a team of 5 or more staff in total
  • Strong influencing abilities at a senior level

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with an ability to manage large volumes of work
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
