The Retail Sales Manager will have ultimate responsibility for driving the Coty business in a Flagship Door to deliver an overall sales objective as well as ensuring excellence of execution for their accounts.

They are accountable for managing and motivating their teams, including mobiles and agency staff, effectively working across 3 counters and multiple brands in separate locations within the store.

The individual should have experience in managing large teams and high-volume business of £2m+, preferably multi-site, a strong sales background and proven experience in beauty with a high level of make-up artistry and preferred fragrance and skincare knowledge.

Ability to successfully plan, execute and evaluate promotional site activity, ensuring targets are met.

    Sales and Customer Service

  • Provide quarterly business- and event plans, incorporating Coty and Retailer event programs. Evaluate performance and present plans when requested to Head Office teams including Leadership teams
  • Be aware of competitor performance and work to increase ranking and market share
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve monthly sales targets and productivity goals
  • Maintain company KPIs
  • Fairly manage distribution of targets to team, daily, weekly, monthly
  • Deliver Coty’s customer service ceremony with every customer
  • Build relationships with customers to influence and sell
  • Consistently upsell
  • Perform Make-Up and niche fragrance consultations to drive sales and brand loyalty
  • Excellence of Execution

  • Lead by example be a brand ambassador, protecting the equity for Coty brands
  • Keep updated on and ensure team complete We Live Beauty modules and mandatory Coty Academy
  • Confidently lead VIP store visits
  • Be fully aware of all company and retailer initiatives relevant to your account
  • Follow all company merchandising guidelines on both permanent and promotional space
  • Accurately complete month end, payroll & feedback within set guidelines and time limits
  • Commercial awareness Coty business performance, competitor activity and market share
  • Plan and execute customer eventing ensuring brand equity and ROI
  • Adhere to Company uniform and grooming guidelines and ensure the team do so
  • Work within the retailer Code of Conduct guidelines and KPIs always
  • Escalate any issues to Area Manager
  • Team working

  • Be responsible for managing the performance and development of the team including regular performance reviews setting and reviewing SMART objectives.
  • Escalating any issues to the AM.

  • Effective rota planning to maximise profitability
  • Strong working relationships with the Coty in store team
  • Manage and welcome agency staff as part of the team
  • Develop effective working relationship with mobile consultants
  • Grow networks with the wider Coty team within your area
  • Maintain excellent communication with the Area Manager
  • Develop and maintain relationships with retailer staff and management
  • Be available for ad-hoc mentoring new managers to the business
  • Good knowledge of company handbook and HR policies
  • Technical Processes

  • Use of ipad for email, reporting and VM guidelines
  • Control of ipad and Coty passwords for self and team
  • Use of Coty systems and online documents. Ensure use by your team.
