The First Campus Team at the University of South Wales, is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to lead and manage delivery of the First Campus Young People Strand programme, collaborating with local schools, the Widening Participation team, academic staff and students and a range of partners and key stakeholders in communities around South East Wales.
In this Officer role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the implementation and delivery of an activities programme for Young People living in areas of high deprivation.

The First Campus Reaching Wider Partnership exists to widen access to higher education by tackling barriers to entry, progression and success in higher education.
We achieve this through the delivery of long-term interventions that support attainment raising, provide information, advice and guidance and assist progression to higher education and level 4 learning for targeted priority groups namely, young people aged 10 to 16 years, and adults 21 and over with no level 4 qualifications, from the bottom two quintiles of the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation.
We also work with looked after children, care leavers and carers to help reduce the barriers to education faced by these groups.
This is a fixed term contract to the 31st July 2022 and the post-holder will be expected to work across campuses and partnership HEIs when required.
Please note, the post-holder may be required to work weekends and evenings on occasion.
