Head of Finance - SaaS startup

London

Talentedge are exclusively partnering with a very exciting early stage SaaS startup on their first finance hire, reporting directly into the Founder / CEO.

Having raised circa £5m to date since their inception in 2015 via seed stage investment and with a Series A planned for 2019, this is an incredibly exciting time to join this business.

You will be responsible for building an internal finance and operations function, capable of supporting this fast growth business as they scale.

You'll be amazing for this role if you have a high passion for technology, love startups and are excited by the opportunity to build your own role.

Key responsibilties :

  • Bring in-house an outsourced finance function and build all scalable processes from scratch
  • Preparation of monthly management and annual statutory reporting
  • Design and roll out a company-wide budgeting, forecasting and long range planning process
  • KPI setting and reporting, providing insights from your analysis to drive commercial decision making
  • Drive all future investment rounds
  • Management of transactional finance (AP / AR / credit control) and automate where possible using technology (Receipt Bank, Chaser etc)
  • Profile :

  • Qualified accountant with releavnt PQE within a high growth VC backed startup
  • Established business partner, capable of advising, challenging and influencing the senior leadership team
  • Experience of working with investors
  • Proven experience of building an in-house finance function
  • Strong IT and financial modelling skills, with SQL advantageous however non essential
