We are mobilising an exciting programme to accelerate the development of our SME Pricing capabilities and as SME Pricing Manager, you will be the business owner responsible for leading and shaping all elements of delivery.
Reporting into the Head of Pricing, the key responsibilities will include :
Overseeing that the end to end delivery, from Technical risk models through deployed pricing, aligns with business goals
With Account Manage, signing off final pricing models, rating structures and rates deployed to market
Being the conduit between Technical elements of the delivery and the Portfolio team, ensuring buy in and understanding to proposed approached
Driving innovation and an increased sophistication into our Pricing approach, including managing projects to provide new insight through additional data sources with a desire to maintain market leading statues in data enrichment and make the most of the latest machine learning tools
Overseeing the implementation of new tools to undertake improved impact analysis i.e Radar Base / Live projects as well as implementing behavioural models
Provide training, direction and technical reviews to the team working with you
Define and implement the appropriate BAU pricing activity within the team
Act as key owner for all things SME within the Pricing team, including regularly communicating and collaborating with other teams such as account team, IT, finance and actuarial
Skills & Experience
To be a success in this role, you will either be a proven Pricing Manager, operated as a successful number 2 to someone, or have relevant senior experience at a consultancy.
Alternatively you may have delivered in a senior capacity in one element of pricing delivery and now look to broaden your remit.
You will also have the following :
Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline or equivalent experience
Relevant professional qualification preferred such as Actuarial and / or CII
Experience working cross team / department projects to achieve a common goal
Strong analytical and statistical experience including GLMs
Confident with analytics tools including Emblem, programme languages (SAS), Excel, R, SQL etc
Proven experience using Willis Towers Watson Radar software
Ideally an understanding and experience of Commercial Line insurance and products experience in household or other personal lines would be advantageous but not essential
Experience of coaching and developing analysts within a team
